36.5 weeks...yes, I went to a public pool looking like this, and yes, I got LOTS of questions and comments!
I visited my doctor today for my 36 week appointment. Well, 36 weeks and 4 days.
The good news is that I am finally starting to dilate! It's about time!
The bad news is that I am less effaced than he initially thought....only about 50%.
But he promised to strip my membranes next week (yes, I know it's a bit controversial, but I am trying to do everything possible to avoid actual induction in two weeks). And he claims he has a 50% track record for membrane stripping putting his patients into labor. I'll take those odds!
So with any luck, I'll be blogging my progress from a hospital bed in the next week.
I'd write more, but I have got to go work on these natural induction techniques*. I swear they are working!
*natural induction techniques are a bit too personal for even me to go into detail (I know some of my readers would prefer it that way), but if you are interested in what I think is working, I'd be happy to e-mail you!

Tell me all about them! I want to know for when I plan for baby #2, which is hopefully in February/March of 2011 for trying! I'll DM you on twitter with my email address.
You. Look. Amazing!!!! And Baby Namaste has totally dropped!!! Progress, progress!
In other news, I'm jealous of your boobs...
Happy Thursday, girl!!! Hope your meetings go well :)
ALL BELLY. You look adorable!!!
You look amazing, as always! Hope everything is workin' out for ya :)
Wow, you look amazing!
I wasn't effaced at all until right at the end of my pregnancy. He was going to strip my membrane, but did not have to after all. I cannot wait to see pictures of the baby, almost here!
I officially hate you.
I mean, I don't look that good not pregnant. The fact that you look that amazing a billion weeks pregnant is just not fair.
But yay on the impending stripping! I had mine done at 39 weeks with kid 1 (I was HUGE), and it worked. Thank GOD. My other two came early and earlier, so it wasn't needed. It wasn't bad. I didn't feel a thing, actually.
You look amazing! And he has definitely dropped. He looks like he is getting into position to come out very soon! My friend had her membranes stripped at 39 weeks and went into labor 12 hours after. And she had a smooth, vaginal birth! I'm sure everything will work out great! Can't wait to meet him!
Good luck with everything! At least you're starting to progress, even if you're not as far as you'd like to be at this point.
And you look adorable, by the way!
girlfriend you look FAN.TAS.TIC!
Baby boy has TOTALLY dropped, he's getting ready!
Congrats, lady!!
Ooh, ooh! I wanna know! (Though I think I have a pretty good idea;)
You are SO awesome for swimming in a bikini! I tried, but my boobs fall right out of it. You look incredible. Hope you had a great first day.
You look ah.may.zing. Seriously! However, your belly looks way more ginormous than 36 weeks-it looks about 42! :D You must be really small in real life-that is the cutest thing ever!!!
Cannot wait to hear some more deets on baby progress!
xoxo
I know that everyone has already said this, but you look fantastic. I actually went to the pool today, and I didn't look nearly as fantastic (and remember my baby was born almost 4 years ago!).
I'm with Abby...jealous of the boobs-and your belly. Mostly because I know in 20 some odd weeks my stomach will look NOTHING like that. Would spinning help my stomach be that cute? Ugh-didn't think so. Hang in there girl...home stretch home stretch. And I may or MAY not be inquiring about those natural inducing methods come late January...
You are too cute! I love the suit on you. Who cares what other people think are controversial! You've gotta do what's right for you!
Sexy time with B?! I'm just throwing it out there....he helped put him in there, miswell help get him out! :)
You still look great! It has been so long since I was pregnant but I remember feeling huge at the end.
You look amazing! Please email me with your induction methods since they seem to be working for you. www.adventuresofamrs@gmail.com
