Forgiven.

Yesterday, I got an e-mail from L's teacher saying that he was asked to move away from some friends because he was having a hard time making good choices.

Last night, the struggle for happy choices continued. L was crabby and whiny. Boyfriend convinced me that he couldn't ride his bike down "the concrete hill" and I needed to pull him on his bike (while pushing G in the stroller!) and I believed him, until B informed me that he's more than capable. He got several trips to his room and there were sighs, growls, and tears galore.

From us both.

This morning, I was putting on my shoes and L came in to my room and leaned on the door frame, smiling oh-so-sweetly.

"You're skinny and pretty," he said.

These are usually L's words of choice to attempt to bribe me into something (and admittedly, they work), so I chuckled and asked, "What do you want?"

His smile grew.

"I want....."

I waited, wondering.

"A kiss."

And just like that, all sad choices were erased from this momma's memory.

Happy Wednesday...and namaste.

Oh gosh, little boys are the sweetest, aren't they? I can never stay mad at my B for very long; he ends up melting my heart in ways I didn't know where possible. So adorable, and I'm glad L is back on your good list.. haha

I have an L of my own (Logan) who is almost almost 5, and we have been having a lot of trouble concerning making good choices lately too. But you're right, just a sweet hug or kiss or a "you look really pretty today" makes you forget all about it!

And I bet you've spent the rest of the day smiling, am I right? :) Those moments definitely make up for those rough days. What a sweetheart.

Someone recently used the phrase Sour Patch Kids to describe this kind of thing! First they're sour, then they're sweet! :)

That sounds just like Punky. Every word of it. Though her sad choices lately have been in the homework and acting-like-a-17-year-old-drama-queen department. ;-)

That is so super sweet. I do love your super sweet posts and will have to visit you on Katie's blog.
